HOPE RESTORED BULGARIA (HRBG) IS A CHRISTIAN NONPROFIT ORGANIZATION COMMITTED TO TRANSFORMING THE LIVES OF VULNERABLE ROMA AND TURKISH CHILDREN IN THE DOBRICH REGION.
THE COMMUNITY IS DEVASTATED BY POVERTY, SOCIAL EXCLUSION, AND THE EVER-PRESENT THREAT OF HUMAN TRAFFICKING AND CHILD ABUSE.
Founded in 2012, HRBG has spent the past 11 years working in Balik, one of the region’s most impoverished areas, where the children face severe risks of exploitation, including prostitution and forced labor. These children, often left unsupervised, grow up on the streets, exposed to unimaginable dangers that rob them of their childhood and future.
At HRBG, we believe that every child deserves the opportunity to thrive, free from fear and exploitation. Through faith-based outreach, we strive to build strong foundations for these children, equipping them not only with education but with spiritual and moral guidance to break the vicious cycle of poverty and abuse.

We work with children and widows and families motivating them with love and affection, guiding them to follow growth in the Lord and become happier in themselves and sharing hope to a broken hearts.

OUR MISSION IS TO RESTORE HOPE THROUGH THE TEACHINGS OF JESUS CHRIST BY PROVIDING EDUCATION, RESOURCES, AND PROTECTION TO THE FORGOTTEN CHILDREN OF THE ROMA COMMUNITY.
OUR VISION IS TO SEE THE LOVE OF CHRIST BREAK DOWN BARRIERS OF POVERTY, DISCRIMINATION, AND NEGLECT, LEADING TO LASTING CHANGE FOR THE ROMA AND TURKISH COMMUNITIES OF BULGARIA.

Now more than ever we have an opportunity to expand our borders as never before. We know about the human trafficking, child abuse, child slavery, and abandoned children left behind. All of these words just scream inside of me as I know it is happening right there where we are every day. So, we are compelled to do something- reach out, teach, love, and stand against evil.
BULGARIA’S ROMA CHILDREN, PARTICULARLY THOSE IN THE DOBRICH REGION, LIVE IN CONSTANT DANGER OF EXPLOITATION.
Trafficking networks prey on these children, with 70% of trafficking victims in Bulgaria coming from Roma communities. Girls are particularly vulnerable, often targeted for sex trafficking and forced labor, with many trafficked into Western Europe.
EDUCATION IS ONE OF THE MOST POWERFUL TOOLS TO PROTECT CHILDREN, YET ONLY 15% OF ROMA CHILDREN COMPLETE SECONDARY SCHOOL.
In contrast to the 87% graduation rate among the general Bulgarian population, this stark disparity reflects the intense social exclusion, poverty, and discrimination faced by Roma children. These factors make them isolated, unsupervised, and prime targets for traffickers.
